Last year I would deliberately do all my present shopping first when I walked into town, just so I could spend the next few hours wandering around with - in one case- a giant one-up mushroom plushy ( super mario! ) under my arm whilst shopping.
The reactions you get are so awesome. From complete random's walking up to it and hugging it screaming "OMG I WANT ONE WHERE DID YOU GET IT IT'S AWESOME!",
To people walking by glancing over, seeing, looking away, then registering that they had in-fact seen it, and looking back eyes wide and staring and mouthing "what the

-There's not much difference between a stadium of cheering fans and an angry crowd screaming abuse at you. They're both just making a lot of noise. How you take it, is up to you. Convince yourself they're cheering for you. You do that, and someday, they will.-
